Indie Thing #1 The_Rapture

Alright peoples its been a while so lets get down to it. I have left this blog for far too long, now I have some time on my hands so I am going to pick up where I left off with a review of 'The Raptures' new album 'In the Grace of your Love'.

I first came across the Rapture way back when 'House of Jealous Lovers' was released in 2002, and I stumbled across 'Out of the races and onto the track' which is one of my all time favorite albums due to its unconventional approach and sounds.
Anyway back to the longly anticipated 'In the Grace of Your Love' album, which features a wide range of styles which all reflect a more soulful and reflective band, no doubt a lot of the theme of this album is based around the death of Luke Jenners mother, and a number of band members becoming parents. Much of the lyrics reflect upon love and maturity with a constant hook that the Rapture always perfect, a number of tracks which caught my attention include 'Sail Away', 'Blue Bird' , title track 'In the Grace of Your Love' which reflects a lot on their 'Out of the races and onto the track' album and the first single from the album 'How Deep is Your Love', which has the sickest piano and sax loops that make for a classic dance track...
This album is worth the wait of almost 5 years and there up tempo electro indie rock sounds cant fail with the soulful, reflective mood of this album, below I have included 'How deep is your love', with some nice video editing of the classic film 'beat street'...enjoy
